DOWN TO AGONY / FALL OF EFRAFA - SPLIT LP

Cover

(Twisted Chords)"

"Geil, endlich neuer Stoff von Fall Of Efrafa, deren letzte Platte mich völlig umgeblasen hatte. Drei neue Songs, drei neue Hits hier – schleppender Doom Crust a la Remains Of The Day, Madame Germen oder alten Neurosis, der zwischen melancholisch–intensiven SloMo- und rasend–melodischen Crustparts pendelt. (Green Hell)"

"CRUST-HARDCORE. FALL OF EFRAFA from Brighton, UK deserve epic neo-crust, filled with powerful and melodic hardcore and a dark underbelly of brooding atmosphere. There style is in the vein of REMAINS OF THE DAY, MADAME GERMEN and WOLFBRIGADE. DOWN TO AGONY from Zaragoza, Spain comes along with down tuned, brutal hardcore with crushing melodies and a neo-crust feeling. Fusing the sound of EKKAIA and HIS HERO IS GONE with insatiable screams and intricate melodies." (Per Koro)"

"Finally available and the only downer is the price, as the running time is equally to an MLP but the wholesale price hard at the fence for import releases. Why? Musically both bands play dark and gloomy epic styled Millenium Crust with FOE´s one song side with a long epic tale about Animal Liberation which is kinda good but also a bit cliché lyric wise but hence that, it´s not a bad issue anyway innit? - Musically they continiue where they stopped on their LP and deliver a fresh, but also haunting dark melodic Crust assault with an enormous wall of power and sound! An Amazing band! Down to Agony as well with depressing blackened Crustpunk and a huge NEUROSIS influence and the oblligatory downtuned Guitars and atmospheric feeling. Well dune and a wall of a production. Package looks very apolalytic artwork wise... very plain the inlay." (Ruin Nation)"

"This highly anticipated split release is finally available! FALL OF EFRAFA (Brighton, UK) follow up their brilliant Owsla LP with an intensely dramatically mournful and "epic" crust onslaught, written as one song, but completely filling a whole side of this LP. this is very dark and moody, with the feel of REMAINS OF THE DAY, MADAME GERMEN, and later WOLFBRIGADE. DOWN TO AGONY (Zaragoza, Spain) pull togther two equally crushing neocrust tracks that just one step beyond the likes of EKKAIA, FORM ASHES RISE, and HIS HERO IS GONE. A great joint release from two of the best European crust bands of our time. (Profane Existence)"
