FALL OF EFRAFA - OWSLA LP

Cover

(Twisted Chords)"

"FALL OF EFRAFA - OWSLA CD Damn, this is good!! I mean really good! They play the dark kind of pummeling crust that I like with the addition of a cello. I’ve taken to calling it apocalyptic punk, which is a dark and heavy pummeling sound, with weaving melodic guitars, and gruff vocals. And like I said, a cello, which you can’t hear all the time, but when it’s there, it adds a whole new layer and dimension that is awesome. Think Tragedy, Wolfbrigade or Remains of the Day.... And lyrically inspired by the mythology and politics of the book Watership Down, which translates to some pagan earthy shit that I love. This demo version is hand assembled in a silk screened cardboard sleeve with lyric booklet in a little envelope, a patch, and the CD. It’s nice. In fact, all around, I think that this is my new favorite band. It’s hits all the right chords and notes with me and I’m just stoked!!! (Chris / SLug and Lettuce)"

"This Band plays dark and haunted MASSIVE (!) epic driven Hardcore / Crust with the addition of a Cello and without any doubts one of the best new bands i heard recently! A steamroller of a heavy production and comes in a beautiful sleeve including a poster round the whole thing up. Great Band! (Sabotage Rec.)"

"Fucking hell, this is one of the best records I got my hands on lately! Hard hitting, yet melodic and epic crusty HCpunk with a Cello and throaty vocal style from Brighton UK. They really know how to create a desperate and aggressive athmosphere at the same time. This band delivers their music with a lot of variation in speed which makes the songs memorable and entertaining which is hardly the case nowadays. Lyrix based upon the book "Watership Down" - Awesome! (Skuld Releases)"

"FALL OF EFRAFA are a cello driven epic and mournful crust band from Brighton, UK. Musically their style is reminscent of REMAINS OF THE DAY, WOLFBRIGADE and MADAME GERMAN. They base some of their lyrics on the mythological and political overtones in the book Watership Down by Richard Adams. This is the first installment in a trilogy of records. co-release between Alerta Antifascista, Descontento Discos, Fight for Your Minds and Behind the Scenes. www.fallofefrafa.com FALL OF EFRAFA have aninterview featured in the next issue of Profane Existence, so expect to be hearing a lot more about this band very soon!
