ATOMGEVITTER / FILTHPACT SPLIT-LP

Cover

(Twisted Chords)"

"Ace stuff if you´re into that OLD SCHOOL of Hardcore Punk! Both bands hailing from Scotland and already released various split 7"s and now team up for this amazing split LP. Filthpact play heavy and raging old school DOOM like Crustpunk that comes unusual heavy and brutal... fast and filthy 9 tracks of sheer "d beat" overdriven 80`ties UK Hardcore Thrash... ancient but great!! - Atomgevitter are equally heavy and massive but far more old school Thrashpunk just to remember "Heresy" or maybe more updated bands like DS 13 - short, fast and loud attacks and a Blast ! Every song, every minute... or better every second, eh? 9 tracks here filled with short and to the point thoughtful lyrics between being serious and some well placed irony. get this! (Sabotage Rec.)"

"Scottish Powerpack! Filthpact starts this off with ultra-heavy d-beat Crust inspired by old bands like DOOM - excellent! Atomgevitter like it faster and belt out manic stop and go Hc in the vein of Heresy and the likes. Cool stuff in a nice sleeve with good lyrix - recommended! (Skuld Releases)"

"Damn have these guys come a long way since I first met their acquaintance. My first run-in with Filthpact was on their split 7" with Afterbirth, and I crossed paths with Atomgevitter a short while after that when they did a split 7" with… well, Filthpact. So these bands have shared a piece of vinyl before, only this time they've gone for the bigger format. I find it both an interesting as well as a pretty dumb idea for two bands to do a split twice. Interesting in the sense that you can follow both bands easily, but dumb since they might not be able to reach out to as many new listeners as if they had done a split with some new band. But, they're probably good friends and that, together with great music, is what hardcore is about, right? Filthpact are still doing their ENT and Doom styled hardcore albeit not being as dark as those bands but more on the sharp side of things when it comes to the sound. Some grinding parts and some thrashier elements added to the formula makes this pretty fucking raging. While Filthpact add some thrash, that's what Atomgevitter is all about - raging thrash! I was not very convinced by their material on their earlier split, but this time around I don't need a lot of convincing as the material speaks for itself. Rapid drumming, manic shouting, sharp and intense guitars, and while the bass didn't really make an appearance before it sure does its job now. A great split, on fire-red vinyl I might add, that shows two Scottish bands that have come a long way together. (Attack Fanzine)"

"HARDCORE. A collaborative effort between two kilt-wearing hardcore-punk bands from Aberdeen/Scotland: both have very different sounds, but share the same D.I.Y. ethics (and have previously shared a split 7" as well). FILTHPACT play 9 tracks of grinding and raging hardcore-punk with crust influences - with an unusual hit of heavyness and brutality. If you're into early UK-bands like DOOM, FILTHKICK etc. you like them, for shure. ATÖMGEWITTER are equally heavy and massive and there 9 song mix of fast and loud old-style fastcore and thrash-punk is highly explosive. Remember the good old days, as RIPCORD or HERESY dominated the UK-scence beside those fluffy-mohawk punk bands. Don't be fooled by the goofy cartoon on the cover - the contents this record are brutal!(Per Koro)"
